This, my children, is a classic body swap trope in motion. You see the male character gasping as he looks down at his new body of the female character. It is a play on western cultural sexism, the predicted behavior of male demographics, and is often done for either sexual and or comedic effect depending on the context. However, there is certainly a lot of room for exploration, as changing one’s body and life with it open up excellent avenues for drama. The two characters could struggle to adapt to their new lives, or perhaps gain empathy after they switch back over the course of a story. Alternatively, the trope could be used as a way to satiate a fetish.
